Here you see that I have used a scoop to skin the pumpkin leaving some of the orange surface in a grape leaf like shape for the “hair”. I am drawing a cross shape to show me roughly where the eyes and center will be. Spacing for eyes is easy…..just put an imaginary eye in between the two you will carve, and you have perfect spacing!

By placing the line for the eyes high on the forehead, I am leaving room for the big smile. have fun deciding what shape of the nose you want.
