This pumpkin served as a “practice” piece or model for a 200-pound chunk of beautiful marble that a friend gave me many years ago.
When I can’t get pumpkins, I while away the months until October with stone and wood carving.
This piece done in marble took several months and has had many different titles from people checking it out. It was suggested that a photo of it should serve as the cover for the Journal of Psychiatry. For me, as I carved it, it is the “State of the Union”
